If you are thinking of selling, CPRNZ is the company you want walking down your driveway before that for sale sign goes up. They might find something wrong, something you didn’t want to know, but it’s best to know this BEFORE you receive a conditional offer. Having previously used a different home inspector who didn’t inspect the property to the same high-end standards of CPRNZ I was of the illusion that our house was sale ready.
I then got to meet the CRPNZ team after they failed our property, and we lost a sale. Although we hadn’t paid for that report, CPRNZ provided us with a copy of this report and took time out of their day to provide a full understanding of the report and assisted in bringing our home up to a great standard. Travis popped around a few times while work has been done to do a few more checks, again at no cost. Once the work was completed, I paid for an inspection and the house was cleared apart from two areas of minor concern, however the team popped by for free 3 months later to check on these and they were fully cleared.
As Travis said a home is a person’s biggest asset but most people don’t get a warrant of fitness done for their house until it’s time to sell and at which point are likely to discover issues, so I can’t recommend enough to people the important of an investment in a ‘WOF’ for your home.
I recommend CPRNZ, for their thoroughness, knowledge of buildings and people skills.
Both Travis and Tassia are amazing at what they do. And I highly recommend commissioning them for inspecting any property you are looking to purchase and don’t think because it’s not a monolithic the property is free of issues.

I’m currently living in Australia and recently ordered a property report with CPRNZ. The website functionality is excellent, making the process very simple. Communication was first class and CPRNZ organised everything with the selling agent. I have ordered multiple property reports in Australia but this was by far the most comprehensive report I have ever seen. The report was completed very quickly, was 200 pages in length and contained over 860 photos. The inclusion of several short videos took this report to another level.
